Canoe - Kayak at Kremasta Lake ,Agrafa, Evrytania
Activity Description
Kremasta lake is the largest artificial lake in Greece. It was created after the construction of the Kremasta dam in 1965 from the accumulation of water volumes of the Acheloi, Agrafiotis, Tavropos and Trikeriotis rivers. The artificial lake created has a capacity of 4,750,000,000 m³ of water.
The lake is located between the prefectures of Etoloakarnania and Evrytania which are joined by the Episkopi Bridge. At another point there is also the Bridge of Tatarna near the monastery of the same name.
The area is included in the Natura 2000 program.

Departure from the point of your choice to Sivista pier.
We start our tour from Sivista pier towards the island of Agios Nikolaos with the castle of Karolos Tokkos on its top. Break to explore the island and swim in the lake.
We continue to the beautiful fjords of Acheloos for photos and swimming and slowly return to the starting point.
